Hi Deborah – thank you for telling your story! Congratulations on finding, naming, speaking, surviving and telling your truth. i have a story that mirrors yours in many significant ways – from the perspective of the adoptive parent who told age-appropriate truths as they came up. If you would like, i am happy to share it with you.

Hey Deborah, wondering if u remember me, it was easier for me to remember u after reading ur book. One of the better books ive read in my time. Neways, we met at the 2015 tedx event here at marion, I performed a poem i wrote called “whats five yrs”, based on the idea that five yr plans, which was the theme of the event, were contextual and relative, that sum ‘random event or tragic accident cud happen, right here, right now that wud drastically change every aspect of r lives, and what we thought wud be, no longer is or every cud be, cos we r not the same ppl.’ Neways, while u were visiting us, u and I talked of establishing a book club here so more of the prisoner population cud experience ur book. Im sorry for having this take so long, its a story in itself what ive been thru, all necessary for me to be right here, right now, writing this email. My aim is to re-establish contact with u, and see what we can do about making a difference. Whether it be with a book club or sum other great idea we come up with. With no idea of ur scheduling or commitments, and this is the holidays of course, when ever u can get back to me please do. U can either hit me up on, or message me on facebook @ Jason Thompson, Timken H.S. Looking forward to catching up with u and seeing how ur doing. Happy holidays and all that stuff u know :-) take care, Jason. Ps, u can check a few of my other pieces out on utube @ JT The Poet. Peace and Blessings.
